FULL SERVICE INVESTIGATIVE AGENCY
LARGE enough to serve, yet SMALL enough to care
Harris Investigations, LLC is a full service investigative agency providing private investigators, process servers and notary services throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as well as the states of New Jersey, Delaware, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan and West Virginia. In addition, we also provide service of process in New York and Ohio. We specialize in a wide range of corporate, private, individual, civil, and criminal investigations, serving the area since 2005 (not to mention 25+ years of experience in the field with other agencies since 1986). We are fully licensed, bonded and insured in the states where we practice. We remain on the cutting edge of all educational fronts, both professionally and personally, for your benefit. Our Company is a strong supporter of Bucks and Montgomery County Bar Associations, Philadelphia Legal Secretaries, Philadelphia NALS, Women’s Center of Montgomery County, Bucks County, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Montgomery County and South Jersey Paralegal Associations and various Claims Organizations in Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey. We enjoy a long history of recognition as one of the top investigative agencies, having been voted in the top 3 Legal Intelligencer‘s Best Investigative Agency category every year since 2010 (in other words, since the history of the ranking).
The staff at Harris Investigations enjoys providing superior service in all areas of private investigation and process service assignments. All client requests are addressed immediately and individually upon receipt. It is our custom to provide an initial verbal or written report to you within seventy-two (72) hours or less. Document copies and/or follow-up reports may require additional time; you will be routinely updated as to the status of your case with possible professional suggestions of follow-up procedure that you would benefit from.
Clients find our prices are very competitive and we will price match with a price list of 60 days or less. We enjoy a reputation of providing our clients a faster and more efficient turnaround time than others can fine elsewhere. As a courtesy to our clients we do not charge on routine services such as notarized affidavits and/or faxed reports.
Peace of mind and confidence. That is what our clients enjoy through our services along with our reputation of professionalism and efficient response to every client. In addition to our other services, we offer expert scene and vehicle photographers/videographers on staff, as well as a product liability department. FAQs
What is your PI license number?
We have PI licenses in PA, NJ, DE, IN, MD, MI and WV. The numbers are not required to be listed on a report or affidavit. We will gladly provide you copies upon request, but the numbers issued are not required for any reason.
What do I need to provide when I request a DMV search?
When requesting DMV records from any of the states we serve, in most cases a copy of the police report is required. Email it to us with the assignment form including your full and complete signature line and you’re good to go.
Otherwise, you will need to submit the following:
- An official request on your letterhead (must be an attorney, insurance company or have a court order – cannot be a PI firm). In your request, specify what you want and why you want it with your detailed request written out. If you have a full signature line with contact info, most agencies will accept that.
- If you are an attorney, a letter of representation or proof that you represent the individual for whom you are requesting the record(s).
- If you are an insurance carrier, proof that they are your insured.
If you cannot supply any of the above, you need a subpoena. Many states are restricting drivers’ records. Pennsylvania, for example, will not supply them without the proper DMV form, signed by the driver. No exceptions.
What information can you provide me with about someone you investigate for me?
First and foremost, keep in mind that – in most cases – for us to investigate private citizens, an attorney needs to be involved. That being said, we cannot legally (or ethically) provide you with personal information like addresses or phone numbers. We do offer investigative services for domestic cases, but what you might see happening in the movies or on TV is simply not the way things work in real life.
What is your process server ID number?
In PA, NJ, DE, IN, MD, MI, IN, OH and WV (the states we operate in), no process server id number is required.
